Project 365 - Day 31

Well so far so good, one whole month into this and only a slight hiccup that one time. Not bad. I have to admit its not that easy remembering to take a photo and also coming up with something to take a photo of each day. I think though it will get easier... and I have been enjoying it so far!

Today I had a blah day at work, was feeling ill most of the day, then came home and went for a walk with B, Kalli, Brea, Chris and Kyah. It was nice to let the bff's play again and get some fresh air. We came back here after and hung out for a while letting the dogs play some more. Kyah lost a tooth and bled all over Kalli :) Heehee... What are bff's for anyway!!

Once Chris, Brea and Kyah went home and after not eating all day I was starving and B was munchy so we went to go to Price Smart to get a pizza to make but it was closed so off we went to Wendy's. Not exactly what I wanted to be eating at 10:30pm for my first meal of the day but it was quick anyway...

Project 365 - Day 30

I had a great day today!! I got to spend the day with Becca! She has been going through something difficult and I have not had the best month so it was really great to hang out, just the two of us and catch up. She came bearing gifts from her mom and sis and her sis got me THE cutest purse/clutch ever! I have a thing for birds so I am just in love with it. What makes it even cooler is that I have been wanting a camera bag to hold my DSLR and new lens but they are all so ugly. This fits them both perfectly!

After letting Shelby and Kalli play for a bit we headed out to get my hair cut... which turned out great if I may say so :)

Then we went and indulged in some serious retail therapy! I got a few cute things but I have to share this one thing... its a hoodie with silver STARS in the shape of a HEART on it!! Obviously someone made it just for me, like OBVIOUSLY!

Project 365 - Day 29

So one thing I don't like about our life is the fact that we dont buy food, we eat most of our meals out and if we eat "in" it is most often "take out". Because of that we rarely have food in our house to eat when we are hungry. I really hate that. It makes me feel like a disadavantaged child or something. I have the munchies tonight and thought I would look in the fridge... I guess I hoped something would have magically appeared. :)

Instead this is what I saw...

The package on the top is a "snack pack" of expired hummus with flatbread, the green stuff on the second shelf is nasty old lettuce and a bit of faded kale for Bun-Bun. There are Budweiser beers on the top shelf and obviously neither of us drink Bud. The salsa on the top shelf has been there since either the return of 24 night (which was almost a month ago I think) or New Years Eve. Either way its no longer safe to eat. I think the remainder of whats in there are sauces, condiments and beverages (which are getting on the old side too).

We really need to work on this in the new year I think!

Project 365 - Day 28

This is Brendan feeding the cats. He goes through this little ritual of mixing their raw food with water twice a day. I dont know he does it for two reasons - first the smell of the raw meat is kinda yukky and the texture makes me want to vomit and secondly the cats are sooooo loud and annoying while they wait. I actually find that part kind of cute but he doesnt. They line up on the windowsill, weave in and out of his legs (when the dog isnt around), try to jump on the counter and most of all just meow their little heads off! It is a chorus of meows and jostling for the best position.

Project 365 - Day 27

This is where I slept last night... and where I will sleep tonight. I have been having a lot of trouble sleeping for the last couple weeks, and have only been averaging 3 to 4 hours a night. Last night I was feeling kind of bummed about all the fertility stuff and needing another surgery and just felt really really tired so I decided to try sleeping in the guest room to see if a change of scenery would help... I slept from around midnight until 8:30 this morning!! I'm hoping it will work again tonight!! Now I'm off to go find out. Goodnight, Sleep tight, Don't let the bed bugs bite!

Project 365 - Day 26

I have been having issues sleeping for the last few weeks... so last night after finally falling asleep at close to 4am I was wide awake again by 7. I decided I may as well get up and do something so I drove down to White Rock beach and watched the sun come up. These are photos from soon after it popped over the horizon. A nice way to start the day!

Project 365 - Day 24

Well anyone that knows me well... mmmk so maybe Brendan and Christina... knows that I am not a red roses kind of girl... my favorite flowers are just plain everyday tulips. Boring to some but oh so beautiful to me.













































Well apparently I am not the only "girl" to feel this way because every time I have tulips around, I always know where to find Patches! She seems to love them just as much as I do.

This is my first bunch of tulips this year... they made my day :)

Oh a treat today, more than just 1 photo! I had a full day today which included a walk around Crescent Beach at Sunset... I had a few faves and couldnt decide on just one so here's 3!

Bun-Bun and Kalli... these two have been kept separated since the day we brought Kalli home because the bunny basically beat Kalli up that day... and we have been nervous to see what would happen since. Tonite I was taking a photo of B at his desk for POD but then Kalli wandered into his office and the bunny hopped over to her to have a look so I took a photo of them instead... It's on the blurry side but I liked it anyway :)

Today's photo is actually "borrowed" from someone else who is doing the 365 project. She posted it for others to use for todays photo as not everyone was able to capture this moment. I watched today but had only a few hours sleep before watching and didnt think to take a photo although I had planned on making this my POD for today as well. I am so inspired by Barack Obama and have so much hope for change today. I think that he will have such a positive influence on his country and ours and hopefully the world. YES WE CAN!

Project 365 - Day 19

Well today we had a full day, a puppy play date as Sysko's Supper with Brea and Kyah and some other puppies we met there in Vancouver. Then dinner at Lombardo's with Chris, Brea , Christina and Paul, then home for 24 night with Chris, Brea and Davo! In the middle of all of that B had to change the tire on his mom's Audi because when we came out of the puppy play date her tire was completely flat. That is today's photo :)

Project 365 - Day 18

Well... after last nights post about me going to bed at a "reasonable" time I went out in the middle of the night to pick up my sister and brother in law from a party in Aldergrove. They had been drinking so they called me to for a safe ride home. We had arranged this previously but I had forgotten when I wrote the previous post! It was sooooo foggy and cold out.... Anyway I took a photo of the time on the way home in the car...

Lately I have been realizing that we stay up waaay too late, or at least I do. So in an effort to become healthier, happier, more alert and more rested I have decided to work on getting to bed earlier. So my photo today is of my first effort - almost midnight, not too bad :)

MMMmmm it's that time again... Time for Hershey's Kisses! This year there is a new flavour - or at least one that I haven't seen before... cherry!! I absolutely love chocolate covered cherries, and these kisses taste just like those except no cherry...still delicious. :)

Project 365 - Day 11, 12 and 13

Well I messed up after only a week and a half :( I thought about just giving up the idea because I really wanted this to be perfect... but then I decided that was dumb idea. I mean in real life how many people are perfect? Very few in my opinion... so onwards we go. There will be days I forget and I am giving myself permission to be okay with that right now. I will do my best though, to post a photo every day, and if I don't post it I will do my best to at least take a photo... and I will be happy with that.

Tomorrow is "The Return of 24 Night" here at our house so and we are making Beef Fajitas for our friends so tonite B is cutting up the meat so that I can marinate it in some tequila marinade - Yum!

I almost forgot today, was actually lying in bed, not feeling well, ready for sleep when I remembered. I looked at the clock and saw it was 11:30... thought briefly about skipping and then made myself get out of bed to take a photo...

Project 365 - Day 5

I had surgery today to remove a growth from my uterine wall. I had it at the same hospital that I was born in 35 years ago. I have to say that the staff at Peace Arch Hospital took very good care of me, they were all very caring and warm. It took 3 people to get my IV in which was really the worst part of the whole thing because everything else went very smoothly. I spent most of the day there - 1130 til 630 and my surgery was delayed by an hour. Brendan picked me up and brought me one of my favorite smoothies from Euhporia and then took me home and cooked me a yummy dinner of pasta and salad. What a sweetie! And what a flattering photo - (kidding as you can tell - I got to wear two gowns, a pair of scratchy socks that went to my knees and some little paper booties!

We celebrated "Christmas" with Becca and Mike today because they had gone away for the holiday so we haven't seen them. Today's photo is of my present from Becca...

A pair of Chooka turquoise "tattoo city" rubber boots!! Probably the coolest thing I own!!

Project 365 - Day 3

Today's photo is of Bun-Bun... I cleaned her house quickly tonite because as usual she has made a huge mess. I meant to take my photo at Sidharth Grill (our favorite Indian restaurant) because we went there with Paul and Christina tonight but I forgot. It is probably for the best that I forgot though cause then I decided to take a picure of the bun and actually spent some time with her. I feel like she has been neglected since we got the puppy so it feels good to give her some lovin :)

Today's photo is of a scrapbooking project that I have been working on tonite for my best friend. It is a little 6x6 mini book of photos of her and her boyfriend. It is actually part of her Christmas present but because I wasn't going to be seeing her over the holidays I procrastinated and am just getting it done now!

Project 365 - Day 1

Hello! This is going to be my attempt at the Project 365 - a photo a day plus a little bit of journalling for 365 days... basically a slice of our life in photos. I already know form doing my December Daily project that this will be a challenging project but I am going to do my best and just take it one day at a time.


Chris, Brea, Brendan and I took Kalli and Kyah for a walk in Crescent Park today. We got a little more fresh snow last night so the park looked like a winter wonderland :) The puppies had a great time chasing and biting... and biting some more and then we took them home and the rest of us went for lunch at White Spot... Mmmmmm.
